About Me

I am a commerce graduate and acquired my master degree in Computer Application (MCA). I am working as consultant for .NET technologies.

I love to develop websites, web applications, portals using ASP.NET. I choose C# as my favourite language for development. I also like to work around with Javascript, and jQuery. I got very much experience developing CMS, Job Portals and APIs.

    Hi,

I am a legacy consultant (COBOL etc..) that has been working with .NET now for a couple of years. I am wrtiting an applicaiton that uses a GridView to edit and delete project tasks tied to training course lesson exercises. I use a persisted dataset pulled from SQL Server through a database component. I’m struggling a bit with keeping track of all these objects. Working with GridView controls can get confusing as well. After a little work setting up automatic edits on the grid I realized that I needed a way to figure out which row in my persisted table matched up with the currently edited/updated row in the GridView. I needed to compare the datakey values for the row being updated.

You helped me get if finished by showing me how to get the key values for the row index being worked on. I finished my task. I grabbed the key values and threw them into my foreach datarow loop and sent the corresponding datarow to through my data component insert method.

    Thanks a million.

    Brian

Slight correction I meant to say update and/or delete method.

    Thanks again.
